Presbyterian Disaster Assistance

When natural disasters destroy communities, such as the recent tornadoes that decimated parts of Kentucky and the midwest, our denomination responds. If you feel called to be involved in these efforts, give here: https://pda.pcusa.org

Mission

Jesus calls us to love our neighbors as ourselves, and we take seriously the action of putting shoes on our faith through service.

PARTNER:

We work with Elizabethport Ministries "Eport" to build relationships with families in need of extra support.

We help provide resources through their library, gather food for Thanksgiving, gifts for Christmas.

FEED

We partner with SHIPs "Samaritan Homeless Interim Program" as we make sandwiches together the 3rd Friday of each month.

We collect donations for the Somerset Food Bank.

HOUSE:

We partner with HOME, formerly known as Interfaith Hospitality Network, to house and feed transient families several times a year.

GROW:

For a dozen years, our Giving Garden has provided fresh produce for the food bank and raised beds for members of the local community to harvest and tend to God's green earth.
